A MESSAGE TO REAL EGYPTIANS IN TAHREER SQUARE AND EVERYWHERE

*******

I was determined to avoid dragging this cause into a political forum, but not anymore, after what is happening today from the regime advocates attacking our youth, who are demonstrating in peace since day1. So after the first dirty scenario that followed the withdrawal of police forces from the street, we are now faced with a new dirty scenario that will risk igniting a civil war. The groups that are planning for today's attacks against the youth do not really care about consequences, since their planes and foreign bank accounts are ready to take them anywhere anytime to live comfortably ever after. Please pass the message to our youth to stop the demonstration today with three objectives:
1- Avoid being dragged into confrontations, knowing that the opponents are professional street hasslers and have been trained, and deployed, for years by the regime.
2- Allow the banks and other services to be operational on Thursday. God knows that everyone in Egypt is in need of money, supplies, and a short break.
3- We need to give the current authorities, represented by the vice-president O. Soliman, a short interval to work out a time line for execution of the president's directions as formulated in yesterday's speech. We need a roadmap on:
1- Timings for the supreme court to come back with verdicts on all claims relating to the last parliament elections.
2- Timings for the eventual parliamentary re-elections, based on the supreme court verdicts, and hence the kick-off date of the clinsed parliament.
3- Proposal on how the constitution modifications (Clause 76, 77, 88) will be tackled (processes for inputs, discussions, validations, external experts contributions...) . More importantly, what has not been said, is that we need constitutional changes regarding the authorities granted to the president by the constitution. This would end up in a national vote on the new constitution.
In all cases, points 1,2,3 needs to be finalized maximum by April, May time frame to allow for the election process to start, in order to conclude by September, and hence the peaceful transfer of power.
4- Timings for the complete governmental plan for addressing the agreed upon social improvements to be presented to the people thru the government press.
5- Proposed forum by which the government would kick-off discussions with the youth, since the current opposition leaders, do not seem to have much weight or credit in initiating or driving the current historical developments.
Youth leaders,
I urge you to pass this message thru your leadership forums.
God bless our youth, and keep them prevailing til the end of time.
